Description
The Vineyards
Located at an altitude of 300 metres, the Monte and Alto vineyards are planted mainly with white varieties, above all Arinto, the backbone of this wine. Monte has sandy-clay soils, while Alto stands on deep, clay-based soils, essential to the wine’s structure and minerality.
Winemaking
The grapes were picked at night, then pneumatically pressed and decanted. Alcoholic fermentation began in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts. Once fermentation had started, around 20% of the batch was transferred to 500-litre barrels and foudres. The fine lees were kept in contact with the wine.
Tasting Notes
On the nose, grapefruit and lemon peel stand out, wrapped in subtle hints of crisp apple, showing precision and elegance. On the palate it is taut and linear, with Arinto’s firm acidity setting the pace, while partial barrel fermentation adds well-integrated volume and creaminess.
The finish is long, fresh and harmonious. A wine that combines energy, purity of fruit and depth, ideal with seafood, light dishes and salads, or on its own as an aperitif.
